CLIENT BRIEF
Open plan by design making full use of the great water views and the inclusion of low-maintenance materials. The Interior design and feel: Uncluttered, family friendly, spacious, relaxed and functional.
DESIGN DETAILS
Continuing the furniture look, a sliding bi-bold door appliance cupboard was designed to extend the overall bench surface and double as a drinks area and secondary pantry. It was designed to look stylish whether the doors are open or closed. The combined leather and timber grain laminate door finishes are tactile and organic, low maintenance and family friendly.
The BBQ kitchen is an extension of the main kitchen. Highlighting the elongated elegance is the bench / shelf which cantilevers across the full height window. The custom dining table is the finishing touch that visually connects this integrated space. Feature lighting defines and highlights the subtle detailing adding another spatial dimension.
Innovations:
- white glass induction cooktop from SMEG (the first installed in Australia)
- hidden SMEG stainless steel sink
- bespoke stone dining table (at bench height) to connect the kitchen, BBQ and dining space
- first application of the specified commercial timber flooring in a residential home
- slab size tile splashback
